Checklist For MSDS Compliance Mobile App

The Material Safety Data Sheet (MSDS) provides comprehensive information on the chemical products for use in workplace chemical management. Chemical manufacturers and importers are required to obtain or develop a msds sheets for each chemical they produce or import. Distributors are responsible for ensuring that their customers are provided a copy of these material safety data sheets.

  • Ico checkbox If the substance is a mixture, all ingredients which are health hazards and in a concentration of 1% or more; for carcinogens, the concentration must be 0.
  • Ico checkbox Physical and chemical characteristics of the hazardous chemical (such as vapor pressure, flash points);
  • Ico checkbox The physical hazards of the hazardous chemical;
  • Ico checkbox The health hazards of the hazardous chemical;
  • Ico checkbox The primary routes of entry;
  • Ico checkbox The OSHA permissible exposure level, ACGIH TLV, and any other exposure limit used or recommended by the manufacturer;
  • Ico checkbox Whether the chemical is a carcinogen (listed in the NTP, or the IARC, or by OSHA);
  • Ico checkbox Precautions for safe handling and use;
  • Ico checkbox Recommended engineering controls;
  • Ico checkbox Emergency/first aid procedures;
