HACCP: Damaged or Discarded Product Log Mobile App

Employees can use this digital app on their phone or table that can record product name, quantity, action taken, and reason, initials, and date each time a food or food product is damaged and/or will be discarded.

As part of the HACCP plan, food service managers verify that food service employees are discarding damaged food properly by visually monitoring food service employees during the shift and reviewing, initialing, and dating. Discarding this damaged food such as fruits and vegetables, poultry products, or other raw materials and ready-to-eat foods can help prevent foodborne illness outbreaks. This app helps to create standard operating procedures and corrective action for those who should be abiding by haccp principles.
