Treatment for scabies includes the use of scabicides, topical lotions to kill the mites and reduce patient itching. A person infected with scabies may be asymptomatic but still be a carrier. Likewise, a person with crusted scabies may not exhibit the usual signs and symptoms of scabies. Because scabies is generally passed through skin-to-skin contact, residential care facilities present higher risks of spreading the disease. Thus, it is imperative to carefully track cases within residential facilities for disease control. The New Jersey Scabies Case Line List Staff app is for tracking cases of scabies in residential care facilities among staff members. Using the app, a health investigator can track each patient from the onset of the symptoms. The health investigator will note all locations the staff member worked, usual job duties, and date of symptoms onset. The investigator will use the checklist to record signs and symptoms of scabies, test results diagnosing scabies, and explain treatment plans.

Don't take our word for it...

“I’m not a tech guy and I was able to pick this thing up in probably an hour, and actually start to build apps. I’ve done them over lunch when I’ve gotten frustrated with a process that didn’t exist in our company. So for non tech people who’ve got a problem, the support here is awesome and I’d recommend it to anybody, not just in our industry.”
