Measles Case Tracking Form Mobile App
By nature, infectious diseases are a risk to public health and are particularly problematic to infants, children who have not been vaccinated, and people with compromised immune systems.
How does it work?
Immunization programs are meant to minimize or eliminate cases of such infection, but the onset of signs and symptoms that are consistent with that of the measles virus should be reported immediately. A local health department must thoroughly document and track cases of measles in order to minimize the number of people exposed to measles and decrease the risk of a measles outbreak. The Measles Case Tracking Form app can be used to gather critical information about potential cases of measles. For each case of measles observed, the healthcare professional would record details including the patient's name, date of birth, the onset of the rash, source of exposure, IgM result, MMR1, and MMR2 dates or a reason for not being vaccinated, and the case status.
