AQMD Rule 1143 - Consumer Paint Thinners & Multi-Purpose Solvents Annual Quantity & Emission Report Mobile App
This the app allows users to report the emissions of paint thinners and multi-purpose solvents.
How does it work?
The AQMD Rule 1143 rule will reduce toxic emissions of Volatile Organic Compounds (VOC’s) found in paint and lacquer thinners and multipurpose solvents. This app removes the guesswork and makes it simple for users to record products in an organized template that can be saved and edited for repeated use.
VOC chemical compounds are commonly used in thinning paint products, cleaning coating application equipment, and other solvent-cleaning operations. For example, they can be used to clean brushes containing oil paints. They can also be used to clean spray paint equipment.
These products emit toxic fumes and should be used in a ventilated area. Workers may require a respirator when applying these solvents. Once a project is completed, leftover paint thinners can create hazardous waste disposal problems.
