Passive fire protection methods include using fire-rated doors which help to isolate and allow for control of fires a building. A fire separator door is designed with hardware that can withstand a certain degree of heat, and is insulated with fire retardant materials. The door assembly surrounding a separator is also designed to attach to the door frame in such a way as to not open unless being opened by a person so that the heat or draft from a fire cannot open the door to let in an oxygen source. It is important for as little separation as possible to exist between the door and the door frame - this is also to avoid an oxygen source being readily available. If a fire ends up contained in an area surrounded by fire safe doors, the doors can confine the smoke, ultimately suppressing the fire for a period of time for first responders to arrive. Building code mandates fire-resistant construction.

Don't take our word for it...

“I’m not a tech guy and I was able to pick this thing up in probably an hour, and actually start to build apps. I’ve done them over lunch when I’ve gotten frustrated with a process that didn’t exist in our company. So for non tech people who’ve got a problem, the support here is awesome and I’d recommend it to anybody, not just in our industry.”
