DA FORM 2062 HAND RECEIPT FOR HUMMV M998 Mobile App
In the Army, a DA Form hand receipt, which essentially functions as a sales receipt, is required when certain durable items are issued.
How does it work?
The hand receipt details the type of Army property that has been issued and to whom it has been issued. The recipient must provide their signature to prove that they have received the item.
Use the DA Form 2062: Hand Receipts mobile app on an iPhone, iPad, or Android device to record the issue of property book and durable items digitally. The mobile app allows you to collect the signature within the app for added convenience.
This particular app is specific to the HUMMV M998, but can be used for other similar Army property. You can modify the app template as needed, and also prepare separate DA Form hand receipts for other installation items and organization property.
The person who prepares the DA Form 2062 must keep all copies of receipts current. Since all information is saved on the GoCanvas Cloud, this will be easy to accomplish.
For hand receipts prepared by the PBO; the original is kept by the PBO. The second copy is provided to the hand receipt holder. For subhand receipts prepared by the hand receipt holders, the original is kept by the hand receipt holder. The second copy is provided to the subhand receipt holder. There is no restriction on the number of times property can be subhand receipted, but under normal circumstances, should not exceed from the commander, to the supervisor, to the user.
