The app is to be used when legally required, such as state standardized testing or state Individualized Education Program (IEP) reporting.

Gender non-conforming students are guaranteed confidentiality and privacy in all dealings with employees, health care providers, school counselors , and all staff members. Education programs should be included as part of the gender support plan to help eliminate gender-based discrimination.

This information can be used at any school level and may be referred to when gender expression issues around the student arise. Sports, bathrooms, and locker room usage are often areas of concern with the staff. The student preferences are identified in the plan.
