Inventory is recorded by SKU/ product id, lot number, ‘best before’ date, a number of cases /skid per lot and the total number of units and any transit codes. The app prompts the employee to prevent damage while unloading by making sure the skids are wrapped with pallet wrap, the product on skids are organized in a manner that is structurally sound, and chemicals are sealed to prevent leakage or contamination. They should also visually inspect all incoming materials/products to ensure there are no tears or superficial damage to the boxes/sacks. These steps will not only ensure sound delivery, but they will also aid in the safety of unloading and stocking employees.

Once the cargo has been inspected and entered into the app’s receiving log, it is matched against the corresponding Purchase Order. The final step is to provide this inventory list and the waybill to the accounting department.
