The app allows a user to note all of the job tasks and job steps, and within each task, the user can identify hazards that are readily present, and note potential hazards which may cause work-related injuries or illness. Finally, the user can note hazard controls and ways to mitigate risks such as using personal protective equipment (PPE), incorporating proper training, identifying potentially unnecessary job procedures and job steps and removing them from a worker's duties, and more. Properly using this app to perform a risk assessment on a worker's job helps to improve workplace safety, make workers more aware of workplace hazards and the steps needed to handle those hazards, and promote the health and safety of workers.
