PAR-Connect Launches Mobile Application Store for CACFP Monitors on GoCanvas

Carolyn Morrison knows a lot about the Child and Adult Care Food Program, known as CACFP.  As past President of the National CACFP Forum and current CEO of Child Care Development Services, Inc., she has been working on and monitoring CACFP programs for many years both nationally and in her home state of Oregon.   She recently approached GoCanvas looking for a more innovative way to streamline paperwork and improve accountability in the CACFP process.  What came out of this collaboration is the CACFP mobile app, which provides features program managers want in a home visit report and addresses issues related to managing out of office staff.  

The CACFP app has been especially designed to ensure consistency and accountability in the reporting process, including automatically populating fields such as date, time visit begins and ends, GPS location and even electronic signature of the staff and providers.  Images of the food being served can be taken and are automatically uploaded into the report.  The output is a PDF that can be immediately transmitted to designated email addresses right at the conclusion of the visit.  This eliminates lost and late receipt of visit reports from field staff.

Carolyn presented the CACFP mobile apps in February at the National CACFP Forum Leadership Conference in Washington, D.C., and enthusiastically recommends it to colleagues nation-wide through her PAR-Connect Application Store.
