The "ADA: Alarms Checklist" mobile app covers a compilation of accessibility concerns which may be relevant to construction sites usually proposed to Division of the State Architect.
How does it work?
Relevant citations of accessibility laws have been included. The app is designed for use by DSA staff and as a resource for design professionals to sustain more uniform statewide norms for plan evaluation and construction inspection of projects within the control of Division of the State Architect. Some of the items covered include: alarms, emergency warning systems, fire alarms, locations of alarms, strobed areas, fire extinguishers and accessible opening hardware.
