The Beer Scoresheet app should be used by a judge after they sample a beer to evaluate it during competition. The judge will note various aspects of the beer including the flavor profile, taste, malt flavor, carbonation level, smell, appearance, mouthfeel, and more. Points will also be deducted from the homebrew score by a judge for flaws in a particular style, such as a smell or perceive taste of oxidation, sulfur, spice or DMS. In the end, the score will be added up, and the beer will be evaluated along with others in the competition, an rated from problematic, to good, to outstanding. Using this app, judging committees and competitors can feel confident that entries are being evaluated as empirically as possible ensuring a fair competition.
