Dam Classification Checklist Mobile App
Use the app to assist in reducing potential downstream hazards at dam sites but classifying hazards and risks.
How does it work?
The app includes the following classification System: Loss of human life (plausible circumstances envisioned to cause loss of life). A possible health hazard (loss of public water, wastewater treatment facility). Loss of high-value property (flooding of homes & business, damage to Class I, II & III dams). Damage to interstates & state routes and only access to homes/critical facilities. Damage to railroads or public utilities. Damage rural bldgs. & not otherwise high-valued property, Class IV dams/levees. Damage to local roads (county & township). Losses restricted mainly to the dam and agricultural/rural. No hazard to structure noted. Distance downstream from the dam to affected structure (feet). The vertical distance from streambed to the base of the affected structure (feet). The horizontal distance from stream to affected structure (feet). The Dam Classification Checklist mobile app allows you to replace your paper checklist with an Android, iPhone, tablet or Windows desktop computer. The mobile form includes fields to document items such as the name of dam, file number, date, engineer and height class. Once the mobile app is filled out a secure PDF is generated. The PDF is easy to share, and a copy is stored in your account for your dam maintenance records. You can also use the App Builder to personalize and customize this mobile form.
