Tool Box Talk Personal Shock Absorbers and Carabiners Mobile App
The Tool Box Talk Personal Shock Absorbers and Carabiners app opens up a discussion on the use of shock absorbers and carabiners on a construction site.
How does it work?
Shock absorbers slow and cushion a fall, reducing the forces of stopping the fall. Personal shock absorbers are often made of “tear webbing.” In a fall, specific stitch patterns in the webbing absorb the force of impact and progressively tear apart. The app talks about how best to use both items of equipment, as well as checking for any issues or malfunctions to ensure a safe working environment, including the recommended load for the equipment. The form also includes a section to record the staff who attended the training including their signature and the company they work for. There is also a section for the manager's remarks about the training.
