The California Criminal Background Clearance Transfer Request app will provide state licensed facilities the ability to request criminal record clearances to be transferred to another licensee.
How does it work?
The license applicant must provide a LIC 508 and must verify the criminal's identity by copy of a driver's license, permanent resident card, or other state valid photo identification. The facility applying for transfer must provide all details about their facility, along with details about the receiving facility.
The facility receiving the transfer will provide the association type, including facility administrator, employee, certified home, corporation board member, partnership membership, or other relationship to the licensee. A Child Abuse Central Index check must be submitted if the facility being transferred to serves children. Transfer of the criminal background clearance between county facilities must contact a county liaison.
