HUD Inspection Form - Section 8 - Maine Mobile App
Core features are free forever
"In order to rent to a Section 8 tenant in Maine, your dwelling unit must be inspected to make sure it meets the standards and pass inspection of the Section 8 housing choice voucher program.
How does it work?
The inspector will examine the exterior of the building, the plumbing and heating systems, the exits and hallways, and each room to make sure the unit is safe, clean and in good condition. The unit must be vacant at the time of the first inspection, and all utilities must be turned on. The inspector must have access to the unit itself, the basement, and all common areas.
Use the Section 8 Housing Inspection Checklist mobile app provided by HUD, the federal agency in charge of the Section 8 program, to complete the annual inspection right on your iPhone, iPad, or Android device. For each line item, the inspector marks if the rental unit passes or fails (or not sure). If repairs are needed to your Maine property, the public housing authority inspector marks this in the comments section. The completed checklist is saved in your GoCanvas Cloud and can be shared with others."
