The OSHA Small Business: Minimum Information for an SDS mobile app is intended to help small employers comply with the Occupational Safety and Health Administration’s (OSHA) Hazard Communication Standard (HCS).
How does it work?
The guide is advisory in nature and informational in content. It is not itself a standard or regulation, and it creates no new legal obligations. The employer must refer to the appropriate standard to ensure it is in compliance.
Employers must maintain copies of SDSs in their workplaces, and must ensure that SDSs are readily accessible to workers when they are in their work areas during their work shifts.
