Good Practice in Postoperative and Procedural Pain: Appendicectomy (Open) Mobile App
The Good Practice in Postoperative and Procedural Pain: Appendicectomy (open) mobile app is intended to be used by professionals involved in the acute care of children undergoing pain management after surgery or for painful medical procedures.
How does it work?
It is designed to provide evidence-based information on the assessment of pain and the efficacy of pain management strategies. The app includes advice on the assessment of pain including evidence levels and grade of recommendation specific to Appendicectomy (open). Appendicectomy is the most common indication for laparotomy in children. Under normal circumstances this procedure is performed through a right lower quadrant incision. In the majority of cases appendicectomy will be performed as an emergency or unplanned procedure. A GoCanvas account can be specified as being HIPAA compliant.
