Use this conditional waiver when, while the work is still in progress, the subcontractor requests partial payment. In signing the form he is conditionally giving up his right to a mechanic’s lien, stop notice, or bond claim before full payment is made. The conditional part is that the lien waiver doesn’t go into effect unless and until the check is paid by the bank.
