This checklist is designed to be generic in content and may not include all requirements for your particular installation. It can easily be customized to meet specific requirements for city, county, and state. For example, you can make sure you don't have a fireplace insert. A home inspector will also check to see if you have a zero-clearance fireplace. Other items you can check are:
• fireplaces, pellet, or wood stoves are approved for manufactured (mobile) home installation;
• a listed/approved chimney system for this appliance is installed and securely attached to the fireplaces, pellet, or wood stoves;
