HUD Inspection Form - Section 8 - Delaware Mobile App
Core features are free forever
This HUD Inspection Form - Section 8 - Delaware Mobile App facilitates a checklist form provided by HUD, the federal agency in charge of the Section 8 program.
How does it work?
Use this app as a housing inspector on behalf of a property owner, like a landlord, in order to help facilitate public housing assistance and ensure housing quality standards for rental assistance with low-income housing according to the federal Department of Housing program.
In order to rent to a Section 8 tenant in Delaware, your house, apartment, or other rental unit must be inspected to make sure it meets the housing standards of the Section 8 program. The housing inspection will examine the exterior of the building, the plumbing and heating systems, the exits and hallways, and each room to make sure the unit is safe, clean, and in good condition. The unit must be vacant at the time of the first inspection, and all utilities must be turned on. The inspector must have access to the unit itself, the basement, and all common areas. For each line item the inspector marks if the unit passes or fails (or not sure). If repairs are needed to your Delaware property, the inspector marks this on the form in the comments section. Conveniently complete the inspection right on your smartphone or tablet.
