The mobile app replaces the paper version form HCM-17. Instead of filling out helicopter service details and cost summaries by hand each day, the app manage the details electronically using a smartphone or tablet. The form is required on incidents to which a Type I or II Incident Management Team (IMT) is assigned and may also be required on projects at the Project Aviation Manager’s discretion.

The helicopter use summary tracks flight hours for a variety of jobs, including EMT and paramedic training, Air Force use, law enforcement flights and personal use. Tracking these types of details are an important part of helicopter flight usage and training. Having a record of daily use and costs related to gasoline and maintenance helps you perform cost-benefit analysis, and makes it easier for helicopter patrols and owners to manage their flight hours and air support needs in the most cost-effective way.

Don't take our word for it...

“I’m not a tech guy and I was able to pick this thing up in probably an hour, and actually start to build apps. I’ve done them over lunch when I’ve gotten frustrated with a process that didn’t exist in our company. So for non tech people who’ve got a problem, the support here is awesome and I’d recommend it to anybody, not just in our industry.”
