NRCS: Construction Surveying Checklist Mobile App
Instead of dealing with paper checklists, soil and water conservation inspectors can access everything they need using a smartphone or tablet with the NRCS Construction Surveying Checklist app.
How does it work?
Simply open the surveying and planning app using a mobile device to generate a blank NRCS construction survey form. Once completed, just print or email the results to the building surveyor, project manager or your local soil and water conservation departments, and the results are saved for your planning records.
The items included in the NRCS Construction Surveying Checklist are similar to those found in traditional NRCA construction planning surveys and includes additional fields that can be customized for different types of resources and established permit requirements.
The checklist includes items regarding soil survey results, water conservations efforts and water quality, erosion control and sediment control, natural resources impacted and building surveyor plans. Using the app before construction begins can help identify when more steps are needed regarding wetland protection, soil erosion and other parts of your local conservation programs. Any contractor or professional landy surveyor can customize the checklist depending on their conservation plan requirements. This helps ensure that all operations requirements are met and that the land surveyor doesn't miss a thing when evaluating natural resources.
