New Jersey Lyme Disease Case Investigation

Often the infection is mitigated with antibiotic treatment. If left untreated, the infection can spread to joints, the heart, and the nervous system causing serious health complications and chronic pain. The New Jersey Lyme Disease Case Investigation app is used to document the incidence of Lyme infection to support an individual patient and identify risk factors for infectious disease prevention. With the app, a health investigator can record patient information, clinical information including symptoms present such as erythema rash or joint swelling and the onset date of symptoms. The app user will indicate the diagnosis of Lyme disease, treatment plan, and identify others at risk of Lyme disease.
