It is also true, however, that the growers will need to use some chemical compounds such as pesticide for pest control, herbicide for weed control, and fertilizer to promote the growth of plans. These chemical compounds are often regulated by the government to have minimal toxicity levels and no significant negative health effects on the population or environment. The employees using the chemicals should be properly trained on how to use the equipment, such as a sprayer and mixer, to limit their risk of exposure to high concentrations of the products, and understand how to properly store the solution. The chemical manufacturer will include safety data on the pesticide label concerning the temperature the solution should be stored at and the calibration of the spray mechanism, nozzle, and flow rate for proper distribution. If not mixed and sprayed correctly, the particles could be released in an unsafe manner, putting the operator and public at risk for exposure due to a higher than expected spray volume and application rate. Additionally, poorly mixed chemical pesticides, herbicides, and fertilizers can impact clean water, and require greater use of rinse water when cleaning crops. The Chemical Mixture Tank Calibration Record app should be used by a trained employee who will regularly calibrate the spay equipment to make sure it is in working order.

Don't take our word for it...

“I’m not a tech guy and I was able to pick this thing up in probably an hour, and actually start to build apps. I’ve done them over lunch when I’ve gotten frustrated with a process that didn’t exist in our company. So for non tech people who’ve got a problem, the support here is awesome and I’d recommend it to anybody, not just in our industry.”
