The Organic Farms: Greenhouse Seeding Record app will help growers to track the crop varieties in a greenhouse. Growers can track in what trays the seeds were planted, the crop, variety, farm, amount, and name of the grower who planted the seeds. Organic vegetable production will require that the seeds have organic certification, so careful documentation of the seeds and crop will be very important. Knowing the location of each crop will help the organic growers know how much irrigation each seed needs, and term of seed dormancy, and the ideal soil mix for each crop.

Organic agriculture, even in a greenhouse environment, utilizes a range of organic farming techniques, such as avoiding synthetic pesticides or synthetic fertilizers, using organic fertilizers to promote soil fertility, utilizing beneficial insects or organic pesticides for more natural pest control, and more. The use of greenhouses is a part of a larger sustainable agriculture practice that organic producers can take part in. The use of this app and the other Organic Farms apps in the GoCanvas store can help ensure that organic farming can be done effectively and efficiently.

Don't take our word for it...

“I’m not a tech guy and I was able to pick this thing up in probably an hour, and actually start to build apps. I’ve done them over lunch when I’ve gotten frustrated with a process that didn’t exist in our company. So for non tech people who’ve got a problem, the support here is awesome and I’d recommend it to anybody, not just in our industry.”
