The app will look for measurements on water pH levels, the types of chemicals used, the amount added and the type of produce or fruit being cleaned to ensure the water that is being used for cleaning the fruit is drinking water quality, and not simply raw water, which may have waterborne diseases, bacteria, viruses or other contaminants. The water should undergo filtration for removal of any contaminants. Fruit production requires the use of water as a tool to clean produce that will later be consumed by people. It is the responsibility of the producer to ensure the water used for cleaning undergoes a stringent filtration process.
