The instrument works with an interior rotating thimble. In order to take an accurate measurement, a technician should calibrate the device at regular intervals. The Inside Micrometer Calibration Procedure app provides a step-by-step process to calibrate the measuring instrument. The calibration procedure consists of four steps including inspecting the anvils and thimble, the measuring scale, and rod inserts. For each test characteristic, the app offers a test method and acceptable limits. For example, for the anvil and thimble inspection, the inspector should use a visual and touch test and check that there is no damage, nicks or burrs. The device should allow for smooth movement or rotation over the whole range.

Don't take our word for it...

“I’m not a tech guy and I was able to pick this thing up in probably an hour, and actually start to build apps. I’ve done them over lunch when I’ve gotten frustrated with a process that didn’t exist in our company. So for non tech people who’ve got a problem, the support here is awesome and I’d recommend it to anybody, not just in our industry.”
