The dial gauge must be calibrated in order for the dial indicator readings to be accurate. The Dial Indicator Record Form app will guide an engineer through the procedure and documentation of dial indicator calibration.

With this app, a mechanic records basic details including the type of tool and the calibration date. The app user will indicate the calibration interval, the calibration procedure, and the serial number of the tool. The app user will complete a three-step process beginning with a visual inspection, followed by a dial repeat, and then recording the standard and measured value of the tool. The app includes a useful figure drawing of the parts of a dial indicator including the sensor, tool post, and magnetic tool holder. The app will calculate the standard deviation and graph the reading.

This measuring and testing tool can be used as a calibration component to best facilitate accurate dial indicator readings. Promote the strength and reliability level of dial indicator readings as an effective measurement test method.

Don't take our word for it...

“I’m not a tech guy and I was able to pick this thing up in probably an hour, and actually start to build apps. I’ve done them over lunch when I’ve gotten frustrated with a process that didn’t exist in our company. So for non tech people who’ve got a problem, the support here is awesome and I’d recommend it to anybody, not just in our industry.”
