Depending on the design of the sand filters, runoff may be subject to biological uptake. Typically, the runoff will discharge or be conveyed to another site for further treatment. With the Sand/Organic Filter System Construction Inspection Checklist app, the user is guided through the installation of the structure to ensure proper filtering and sediment control as well as routine maintenance for the longevity of the system. In the preconstruction sequence, app user checks that runoff water is diverted and the facility area is cleared. In the excavation, the area should be cleared of any debris and the foundation area compacted. For the structure, concrete must meet standards and the underdrain must be the appropriate size. In completing facility components, the user should ensure that the flow diversion structure is properly installed and should conduct a timed water-filled test. In the final inspection, the user should check for any maintenance requirements specifically ensuring that the surface is level, structural components are functioning, and the site is stabilized before water flow begins. With the app, the user can make additional comments and note corrective measures or maintenance requirements to ensure proper filtering at the drainage area.

Don't take our word for it...

“I’m not a tech guy and I was able to pick this thing up in probably an hour, and actually start to build apps. I’ve done them over lunch when I’ve gotten frustrated with a process that didn’t exist in our company. So for non tech people who’ve got a problem, the support here is awesome and I’d recommend it to anybody, not just in our industry.”
