Those working with or around electricity in forestry operations will need to understand the additional risks and hazards involved and should take precautions to ensure safety. Exposure to electrical equipment, such as overhead electric lines or underground lines, can lead to death or serious injury, therefore overhead lines should be identified and noted, and underground cables should be clearly marked before work begins. Electric lines can also contribute to forest fires creating serious safety, as well as liability issues. All equipment should undergo visual inspections, regular maintenance checks and voltage should be clearly identified on all equipment. The Electricity at Work - IFSG 804 (Ireland) should provide guidance to employees working with or around high voltage cables to reduce the risk of injury and provide a safe working environment. The app will directly address hazards/risks involved, training, safety planning around the electrical work, people working, the access route to and within the working space, tree felling operations, and emergency procedures.

Don't take our word for it...

“I’m not a tech guy and I was able to pick this thing up in probably an hour, and actually start to build apps. I’ve done them over lunch when I’ve gotten frustrated with a process that didn’t exist in our company. So for non tech people who’ve got a problem, the support here is awesome and I’d recommend it to anybody, not just in our industry.”
