After safety professionals or a compliance officer reviews a work area, periodic inspections of on-site safety in the work environment are required to prevent workplace injuries and increase worker safety. This app will guide a user through a checklist of items that include that working surfaces are in good condition, wet surfaces are covered with slip-resistant coatings, adequate lighting is installed in stairways, equipment is working properly, landings on stairways are free of debris, and railings are secure on stairways. The user should make sure that no walking-working surfaces have unprotected sides, elevated surfaces are protected with toe boards, there is caging and clearance of fixed ladders, and the rungs of ladders are uniformly placed.

Inspections are part of a more comprehensive safety program that could include employee safety training and health hazard education. Once the mobile app is completed, a secure PDF is generated which is easy to share, and a copy is stored in your account for your safety records.
