Hydraulic systems work because the liquid in a pipe is incompressible and so pressure must stay constant all the way through it. The Hydraulics Activity Hazard Analysis (AHA) app should be used by operators to review safety requirements for working with hydraulic systems and to create an accident prevention plan identifying potential hazards and controls. Requirements include that workers be trained to work with hydraulics and wear personal protective equipment when engaging in the work. Before any maintenance work is conducted on the hydraulic system equipment, the worker must shut off the engine that powers the hydraulic pump. All equipment is subject to frequent inspection and procedure should be communicated and documented in the event of a hydraulic spill. Hazard communication in the case of an emergency is essential to the safety plan. After reviewing these requirements, the user can populate the form with the potential job hazard for each specific task and recommended control devices for minimizing the risk and ensuring worker safety.

Don't take our word for it...

“I’m not a tech guy and I was able to pick this thing up in probably an hour, and actually start to build apps. I’ve done them over lunch when I’ve gotten frustrated with a process that didn’t exist in our company. So for non tech people who’ve got a problem, the support here is awesome and I’d recommend it to anybody, not just in our industry.”
