This app allows you to track airborne crystalline silica levels and may sure they remain below OSHA's Permissible Exposure Levels. This app tracks the Threshold Limit Value (TLV), which the maximum level an individual may be exposed to over a lifetime without adverse effects.

When inhaled, minute crystalline silica particles can be detrimental to a worker's health. High silica dust exposure can cause silicosis, lung cancer, kidney failure, and other serious illness, even fatalities. To maintain workplace safety in the construction industry, OSHA regulations are in place to protect workers. These strict recordkeeping requirements are the first step in safety precautions. This app makes an employer’s job easier by replacing the paper OSHA form with a convenient electronic record.

A proper exposure control plan that follows OSHA’s guidelines will decrease occupational exposure to silica dust and make a safer workplace. When recording air monitoring with this mobile form, an employee may enter engineering/administrative controls at the job site, date, contractor, engineer, and worksite/location. And you can also use the App Builder to personalize and customize this mobile form. Once the mobile app is completed, a secure PDF is generated. The PDF is easy to share by electronic submission, and a copy is stored in your account for your safety and health records.

Since exposure can to respirable crystalline silica can be cumulative over a lifetime, its important that an employee monitors his exposure with this app. In the event that an employee becomes exposed to dangerous levels of crystalline silica dust on the job, the employer must file an OSHA incident report. The employee may need medical treatment and may possibly need to file a workers' compensation claim.

Personal air monitoring and incident report filing are just part of accurate data collecting to meet OSHA’s reporting requirements that will decrease occupational injuries, improve safety incentive programs and worker safety.

Don't take our word for it...

“I’m not a tech guy and I was able to pick this thing up in probably an hour, and actually start to build apps. I’ve done them over lunch when I’ve gotten frustrated with a process that didn’t exist in our company. So for non tech people who’ve got a problem, the support here is awesome and I’d recommend it to anybody, not just in our industry.”
