This app will walk the user through the necessary signatures and documentation needed for the student to obtain a work permit. The issuing officer for the school committee will also need to sign the app, as well as a parent or guardian and the potential employer. The minor should be prepared to submit proof of age, such as a birth certificate. The employer will need to provide additional details about the work the underage employee will be doing, and confirm that they are abiding by child labor law. The employer should assure the minor will not be exposed to hazardous occupations, will receive minimum wage, will not be asked to work during school hours, and will limit the number of hours a minor can work during the school week. A minor may be permitted to work once this application is completed and on file with the employer.
