The app should used when an individual would like to import a pet, such as dogs or cats, into the country. The animal will be in a quarantine facility upon its arrival for the required waiting period. This app should be completed prior to arrival at the quarantine facility. Pet owners will be required to submit a health certificate and proof of vaccinations from a licensed veterinarian for each animal. Details about the animal, such as pet name, species, breed, color, age and where the pet will be arriving from. Physical characteristics, health concerns and special dietary needs should also be documented. The pet owner should also list other owners names as well as a list of visitors who are allowed to visit the pet while it is in quarantine. Contact information for a licensed veterinarian is required in case any health emergencies occur for the pet. A list of fees for the required quarantine period, ranging from just a few hours to multiple weeks, is also included. Animals may not be released without the required fees.
