The owner is required to quarantine their animal at home for observation of the rabies virus for at least 10 days. This app will provide animal control officers the details they need to share with the owners, as well a collect information they need, to quarantine an animal. The owner will be required to agree to the animal being in a quarantine period of 10 days at a shelter or under the supervision of a licensed veterinarian for the duration of the quarantine period. The owner and veterinarian should observe the animal for any abnormal behavior or signs of rabies after an animal bite or rabies exposure as this could become a public health concern. Even animals vaccinated for rabies should contact their veterinarian and public health officials. The Notice of Responsibility to Quarantine Animal for Rabies Observation app also provides the owner the opportunity to waive this process and euthanize the pet to conduct rabies testing.

Don't take our word for it...

“I’m not a tech guy and I was able to pick this thing up in probably an hour, and actually start to build apps. I’ve done them over lunch when I’ve gotten frustrated with a process that didn’t exist in our company. So for non tech people who’ve got a problem, the support here is awesome and I’d recommend it to anybody, not just in our industry.”
