It does not cover every requirement and should not be used as your only source of information on environmental regulations. The referenced checklist in this app is intended to be a starting point for you to identify applicable regulations and areas where you can improve compliance at your dental office. The Environmental Regulations and Dental Office Checklist mobile app allows you to replace your paper checklist with a smartphone, tablet or desktop. The mobile form includes fields to document items such as amalgam and other mercury, discharges to your municipal wastewater treatment plant, discharges to an on-site sewage treatment or disposal system (for example, septic tank/leach field, filtration system, mound system), infectious waste and hazardous waste. Once the mobile app is filled out a secure PDF is generated. The PDF is easy to share, and a copy is stored in your account for your chemical clean up records.
