The Texas Municipal Solid Waste Tires Land Reclamation Project Using Tires (LRPUT) Checklist app assists solid waste management facilities to register for this great program. The app outlines the registration requirements for the tire recycling program and will appeal to facilities that have a collection of waste tires, scrap tires, and tire pieces. Once they have received certification, they will reduce waste using this new type of disposal.

Shredded, quartered or split tires may be used to fill the land, which is then covered with clean soil. What an excellent way to reuse worn tires and prevent illegal dumping!

Users will find a useful checklist that outlines scrap tire requirements and site regulations. The checklist offers guiding questions, such as: • Has undisturbed land not been excavated for the purpose of filling the same land with a mixture of tires and debris or soil? • Has the borrow area, hole, or other disturbed land area existed prior to the LRPUT, and was it excavated or was soil removed for a purpose other than for the burial of tire pieces?

Facilities can utilize the app to ensure compliance with Texas rules and regulations and to ensure that the tire management process for the waste operation is up to required standards.

Don't take our word for it...

“I’m not a tech guy and I was able to pick this thing up in probably an hour, and actually start to build apps. I’ve done them over lunch when I’ve gotten frustrated with a process that didn’t exist in our company. So for non tech people who’ve got a problem, the support here is awesome and I’d recommend it to anybody, not just in our industry.”
