By making use of some simple Best Management Practices (BMPs) a construction site operator can do his or her share to protect Ohio's water resources from the harmful effects of sediment.

The topography of the site and the extent of the construction activities will determine which of these practices are applicable to any given site, but the BMPs listed in the Ohio Construction Site Inspection Checklist app are applicable to most construction sites. The app features a General Inspection Log. Along with a narrative inspection log, Ohio EPA recommends the inspector use a sketch or a reduced photocopy of the site plan showing the location of storm water outfalls and storm drain inlets as well as the location and types of control measures. Problems observed at these locations can be highlighted and any corrective measures undertaken can be drawn in and noted in detail within the app.

Don't take our word for it...

“I’m not a tech guy and I was able to pick this thing up in probably an hour, and actually start to build apps. I’ve done them over lunch when I’ve gotten frustrated with a process that didn’t exist in our company. So for non tech people who’ve got a problem, the support here is awesome and I’d recommend it to anybody, not just in our industry.”
