Residents of a manufactured home community often pay a park purchase fee (PPF) that is deposited into the Mobilehome Park Purchase Fund.

The Department of Housing and Community Development (HCD) charges this fee for homes on leased or rented property. If the registered owner of a manufactured home/mobilehome also owns the private property the home is located on, they are exempt from payment of this fee. The registered owner should complete the Mobile and Manufactured Homes Statement of Facts – Park Purchase Fee Exemption app in order to establish this exemption.
