Safety in Demolition Toolbox Talk (UK) Mobile App
Whether the destruction of a section inside a building, an existing building, or a controlled dismantling of a plant or machine, demolition comes in many forms but is defined as “an event that completely destroys something.”
How does it work?
Demolition is the one of the most dangerous construction operations and responsible for more deaths and major injuries than any other activity. Hazards include collapse of a structure, loss/damage to hearing due to extreme noise levels, injury or death when meeting plant or machinery, long and short-term illness and death due to contact with materials such as hazardous chemicals, asbestos-containing materials, lead-based paint, animal waste, etc. Risks during demolition are extremely dangerous and it is important to follow a demolition plan, found on the Safety in Demolition Toolbox Talk (UK) app. Be sure take proper precautions and follow safety guidelines. Don't forget your PPE when working in demolition and dismantling!
