Parents can use the Paternity Statutory Leave Application (UK) app to file a request with their employers. To plan for a paternity leave period, users must fill out the application. The app asks for: personal details (including name, staff number, and work department), period(s) of leave requested, type of leave requested, and signatures. Users must choose between the following types of leave: I confirm I have, or expect to have, responsibility for the child’s upbringing and am either the biological father of the child, mother’s husband or partner and am taking time off to support the mother and/or care for the baby OR I confirm I have, or expect to have, responsibility for the child’s upbringing and am either the spouse or partner of the primary carer and am taking time off to support the primary carer and/or care for the child. Finally, users must also provide the date of birth.
