WRPS Job Hazard Analysis Checklist Mobile App
The WRPS Job Hazard Analysis Checklist is a job hazard analysis (JHA) toolkit that allows users to perform a detailed and thorough job hazard analysis/job safety analysis.
How does it work?
This app is able to help users to identify, evaluate, control, and communicate potential hazards associated with performing job activities including but not limited to: facility maintenance, building maintenance, construction activities, facility operations, environmental remediation, subcontractor activities, and service organization support. This particular app was originally designed for the Hanford site where radioactive and chemical waste is stored. This app notes a large number of specific job activities including chemical use, contact with tank waste, contact with process chemicals, vapors from tank farms, beryllium contact, asbestos and lead exposure, electrical hazards, radiological control and more. The app notes a range of corrective actions or hazard controls that be used on each specific hazard. The app notes the use of personal protective equipment, and a bevy of other risk mitigation strategies that can be used to improve work safety issues in a wide range of industrial operations.
