Sport-Specific Checklist: Baseball/Softball Mobile App
The Sport-Specific Checklist: Baseball/Softball mobile app allows recreational/ organized sport club facility managers and youth sport club coaches to complete a recreational sport safety checklist for health and safety considerations specific to Baseball/Softball.
How does it work?
These guidelines should not be considered comprehensive of every situation. For that reason, it is strongly suggested that a sports and recreational team made up of Baseball/Softball coaches, recreation supervisors and private sector rental users be organized to examine and assess the sport and recreational facility and equipment used with the Sport-Specific Checklist: Baseball/Softball mobile app for sport- related injuries. It is important that each facility accounts for an adequate supply of drinking water, emergency communications, emergency response plans and capabilities and emergency vehicle access. For outdoor facilities account for lightning detection capabilities (e.g. detection equipment, U.S. Weather Service emergency weather radios) and an ability to notify coaches practicing in remote areas of approaching severe weather. Spectator bleachers should meet code requirements and will be inspected by qualified, trained professionals within required time frames.
