Self-Inspection Checklist: Universal Waste Mobile App
The Self-Inspection Checklist: Universal Waste app is a hazardous waste storage checklist that can be managed by the individual storing said materials.
How does it work?
The checklist covers the storage location, the containers, the presence of secondary containment, and whether a spill or release of hazardous waste materials has occurred The app, by default, includes waste types such as antifreeze, batteries, CRTs, laps, mercury devices, and pesticides. Users can add other items if needed. The app prompts the user to identify where the materials are stored, whether the waste containers/storage devices are closed, compatible with the waste materials, in good condition, and properly labeled.
The app also checks for information concerning hazardous materials transported off-site, which may occur for disposal, chemical transfer, or transfer to facility equipped for long-term storage.
