Information about the owners, designer, the start and end date of construction, and the General Arrangement Plan or a Pocket Plan should be provided. The owner will also provide all information regarding the construction site, hull number and class designation, hull material, freight class, type of propulsion, dimensions of the vessel, cargo hold, and how many cars, trucks or other vehicles can fit in the hold.

The owner will provide all certificates and documents for international travel, safety certificates, pollution prevention plans, operation certificates, tonnage certificates, and documents providing that all international and domestic rules and regulations are followed. The owner should provide the full designs of the vessel, hull, cargo hold, and any other special equipment. All technical data for the vessel should also be submitted.
