The letter contains information about the building being reviewed, the location information, the verification/certification that the building does not contain a range of different facilities identified in the letter. A backflow prevention assembly or blackflow prevention device is used to protect potable water supplies from contamination or pollution due to backflow. A water supply that is used for drinking water is subject to being a part of a backflow prevention program. Installing one of these devices can be expensive, and, in many cases, its not necessary. This exemption allows certain companies to apply for exemption from having a backflow device despite having a potable water supply.
