Tapers and finishers roles typically involve the application of plasterboard or other wallboard to ceilings and interior walls of homes and buildings, as well as sealing joints, preparing wall surfaces for painting or papering, installing exterior insulation finish systems (EIFS) and applying other finishes. Joint compound is often used prior to a finish coating.
